Schoeffaerts Afwerking & Interieur approached us to create an exterior lighting impression for their new office building located at Diepenbeek.

The project is a unique contemporary modernist commercial building, compromising of three floors of showrooms and offices. The architect created a black exterior multi-floor stacking design with random golden frame window projections.

The Concept

Keeping the architect´s intention in mind, Painting with Light proposed a lighting concept with a fine line of light on each of the individual floor stackings. The black exterior finish was given an identity with blue light linears, placed between the floor edges. The blue light line runs across the complete floor and gives the random shape of the building a presence at night.

The golden frame windows are a unique element projecting out on each floor, where we enhanced the window frames with a warm glow using linear lights. The linears illuminate the golden window frames uniformly and mark a bold presence floating on the façade.
