RAFC Multimedia Facade

Assignment

The Royal Antwerp Football Club, or RAFC for short, might be the oldest football club in Belgium, but their stadium recently received a much needed update. The Bosuilstadion, in use since 1923, was in need of a versatile eye-catcher that makes all the difference for fans and players alike.

Solution

We were asked by Philips Lighting, now Signify, to look into an architectural and entertainment lighting - or “Architainment” - solution. The result is an interactive multimedia facade that turns the building into a landmark and adds a story to the surrounding space so that the visitor experience starts the moment fans see the building. The facade allows for original content during each match or event, combining lighting and video in one easy to control solution.
