Opening cultureel centrum C-mine

C-Mine, housed on the bases of the coal mine in Winterslag, is a site which has the ambition to stimulate creativity. C-mine with a living past and an interesting and creative offer will create a meeting spot for people that want be stimulated by several forms of creativity and creative innovation.

The new cultural centre opened his doors in the restored energy buildings in the presence of Flemish Prime Minister Kris Peeters, Ministers Stefaan Declercq and Jo Vandeurzen, Governor Herman Reynders and Mayor Wim Dries.

Painting with Light was asked to create a festive “light-costume” for the new and restored buildings.

Both the old mine shafts as the façade of the site and the new theatre towers were lit with a combination of City-Colors, Vari*lites and Philips Arena’s putting C-Mine in a gift box during the opening week.
