Nederlands koninkrijkconcert2013

On Saturday, November 30th the AFAS Circus Theatre in Scheveningen was the backdrop of the Kingdom Concert with a real artists gala.
The Kingdom Concert has been around since 2005 and aims to show the connectedness between the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
Artists from really all over the kingdom performed in the show accompanied by the famous Metropole Orchestra. The evening is entirely dedicated to music and culture and the show was watched 'live' on Netherland 1 by more than 1.750.000 viewers.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, together with their guests and a large part of the royal family attended the concert.
Huub Stapel, in his role of Frederik William, the future King William I, opened the evening. Earlier on the day he arrived at the beach of Scheveningen, where the landing of 1813 was re-enacted.
It was a great challenge to bring in a a complete new set, rehearse a full show and bring a 90 minute live performance in less than 60 hours between two 'Sister Act' performances, the resident musical in this theatre.
