Sonneveld

Assignment:

For the first cooperation between Albert Verlinde and Joop van den Ende, they required an absolute stunner of a production for the Dutch audience. Sonneveld was the perfect start as only  a couple of drapes were going to be used for the settings, so the lighting design was imperative. That’s why they recruited Painting with Light.

Solution:

The musical Sonneveld has numerous settings and locations all part of the narrative, so it was important that each had its own atmosphere. The drape curtains were on a track, so Painting With Light was able to integrate them into the show, and together with the colour changing background, provide an impressive backdrop for adding depth and real emotion to this theatrical masterpiece.
