Painting with Light designed an ice skate with wireless DMX controlled lights

Assignment:
For Holiday on Ice’s acclaimed 2015 show ‘Passion’, the director wanted a unique effect towards the end of the show - a late wow factor - and so asked Painting With Light for ideas.
Solution:
Painting With Light designed a custom LED-Blade to fit onto all the performers’ skates. LED lights were installed on the underside of the skates, controlled via wireless DMX. It was a massive success that has become a defining visual moment in the show. Painting With Light can now offer a ‘production’ version of the system for anyone interested.
