Assignment

For the 15th anniversary of Plopsaland De Panne in 2015, De Koffiekopjes, a classic attraction which twirls visitors around, was completely renovated and housed in Kasteel Prinsessia, a castle construction in the theme of the Studio 100 tv show by the same name. Painting with Light was asked to supply a lighting design that would give the whole building a magical and royal appearance, no easy feat for a construction with so much depth and so many towers.

Solution

The team lighted this unique project, a combination of architectural and theme park lighting, using Gantom spots, a brand for which they are the exclusive dealer in Belgium. The fixtures are compact, but powerful, which makes them ideal for Kasteel Prinsessia, where the technology itself has to draw as little attention to itself as possible for an optimal the visitor experience.
