The Golden K's Gala

The yearly 'Gouden K´s Awards are organized by the Flemish children's TV-channel Ketnet. The nominations are done in advance by a broad media jury through a preliminary voting procedure in which journalists select their candidates per category. These categories range from cool chick to grave guy, favorite song, movie, TV-series, and showbiz couple of the year. Winners are announced and awarded during a live Gala event at the Antwerp Sportpaleis at the beginning of the following year.
For the 2021 edition, Karel Perneel developed the Lighting Design and Jeroen Opsteyn was in charge of the Lighting Programming. This first multi-camera live show was based on XR technology by Michael Al-Far, a Painting with Light veteran.
During the gala, the Painting with Light team handled all of the spectacular lighting for the venue, performers, and awards ceremony itself, creatively bringing the lighting plan to life.
