't Borrelhuis 2016
Attractive Lighting Design Using Gantom Fixtures
CATEGORIES Architainment
Combining the Art of Cooking with the Art of Lighting
Assignment
't Borrelhuis, a restaurant and event location in Hasselt, was in need of professional architectural lighting to highlight the history of its facade. They wanted something that added to the authentic, pure and personal feeling of the location and also served as a beacon to visitors and passers-by.
Solution
The Painting with Light team installed several sets of Gantom lighting fixtures, a brand for which they are the exclusive distributor in Belgium. These fixtures are know for their compact size and high output, ideal for projects where space is limited. Lighting the facade of 't Borrelhuis was done by installing a row of white spots at the bottom of the building, one row on the facade itself and a larger spot on the gable, giving the whole an inviting and refreshing look.
