Ghelamco Arena, Ghent

Assignment:

Ghelamco, builders of the stadium, wanted to do something special with the outside walls and consulted Philips in search of a solution so their stadium could effectively become a huge billboard. Philips in turn asked Painting With Light to design a media façade for the project.

Solution:

Painting With Light designed an installation comprising multiple LED-strings running from the top to the bottom of the stadium walls that circumnavigate the whole building. Specifying a Coolux media server enables the client to add content to the screen themselves, and with the software delivered as part of the control package different content can be switched to the screen quickly and simply using an iPad.
