Assignment
The Flemish Christian Democrats of CD&V organised a renewed concert in the Concert Hall of Bruges on the 6th of March 2016. The theme was #ikbenwij, which translates as #iamwe, and served to showcase their vision in an inspiring performance with music, spoken word and images, highlighting the importance of solidarity.
Visitors were able to engage with the performance by signing up for the WIJ-choir or by writing down their own song lyrics, poem or #ikbenwij-story. CD&V asked Painting with Light to come up with a design that highlighted and amplified their vision.
Solution
We were happy to be a part of the WIJ-story with a full design and production of the lighting, stage and videocontent. With a new 3D-animation, we illustrated the WIJ-story of CD&V in another dimension. The images, music and lyrics were all connected by the slogan #ikbenwij.
Our stage design and remarkable lighting show surpassed expectations and resulted in a torrent of positive reactions. We could also count on the engagement of the audience. At arrival, we distributed dream bands with lights. These gave the room some colour and ensured an engaged and enthusiastic audience.
Those who witnessed the concert found the atmosphere contagious and the concept innovative with lots of variety between music, film, spoken word performances and singing.
